Privacy Policy

SnapFix by PikScan · Last updated: September 10, 2026

This policy describes how PikScan (« we ») handles information in the SnapFix mobile app and on snapfix.pikscan.com.

1. Core principle: on-device processing

SnapFix is designed to process your photos, videos and PDF documents on your device. Metadata cleaning, compression, HEIC → JPG conversion and video trimming happen locally. We do not receive your media files on our servers during normal use of these features.

2. Data we do not collect

  • No mandatory PikScan account.
  • No upload of your photos or videos for core processing.
  • No SnapFix cloud storage of your media.

3. Data stored on the device

SnapFix may keep locally:

  • A history of recently processed files (local metadata: name, size, date).
  • Your preferences (language, theme, favorites).
  • Premium purchase status (via Google Play or App Store).

This data stays on your phone unless you delete it or uninstall the app.

4. Advertising (AdMob)

The free version shows ads via Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect advertising identifiers, usage data and technical information under their own policies. See Google's privacy policy. Premium removes ads.

5. In-app purchases

Premium purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store. We receive purchase confirmation needed to enable Premium, without access to your payment details.

6. Website

The static site snapfix.pikscan.com does not set proprietary tracking cookies. Your browser may send standard logs (IP address, user-agent) to the host. Light/dark theme may be stored via localStorage (key sf-theme).

7. App permissions

SnapFix may request access to the photo gallery, files or storage to read and save your processed media. These permissions serve local app functionality only.

8. Children

SnapFix is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, etc.), you may request information about data we hold. For SnapFix, most data remains under your control on the device. Contact: support@pikscan.com.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top indicates the last revision. Continued use of SnapFix means acceptance of significant changes.
